I chanced to be in St. Andrews for business last Friday. Being hungry I stopped into the first cafe I passed to get a little something to eat. The croissants looked good, so I ordered one. It was the best croissant I have ever purchased. Only the ones I've baked at home compare, and they only beat it by reason of being able to eat them as soon as they come out of the oven. I asked the lady on duty if they bake them themselves, and she replied that her mother bakes them upstairs every morning. I asked her to pass on my compliments to her mother. I also made a point of stopping back by on my way out of town that afternoon to purchase one more for the road... (5/5)

This is THE best coffee shop in St Andrews - go there in the daytime for fantastic, quirky coffee and food or at night to study. When you walk in you will find everyone from locals to professors, all there for the same reason; a great atmosphere that is easy to work in. It also has wifi and opens 'till 10pm - I've no idea why anyone uses the library anymore! (5/5)

Nice cosy room with a warm atmosphere and great fair trade coffee and tea. Much more welcoming than the 'market street giants' as pointed out by George. (4/5)

Great environment with a small room and nice seating. Preferable by far to the generic coffee giants on Market Street (4/5)
