I visited this site in summer with my friend and her grandparents. it is a lovely welcoming friendly clean place and i would reccomend to all. being 15, we both like going out and having fun , the location was great as there is a beach, swimming and shops a 5-10 minute walk away, aswell as an aquarium in town, it was an amazing visit and very relaxing, would definetly come back anytime (5/5)

Oct 2011 My husband and I stayed at Kinkell Braes last October for my 60th birthday and we had a lovely time. I was born in St Andrews but at 15 moved to England. The caravan was gorgeous and although the weather was quite cold the caravan was very warm with a fire and central heating and it was very spacious. Hopefully we will go back there again. (4/5)

We have been visiting St Andrews for 30years plus and renting a at kinkell braes site for approx 8years from different owners. The vans have always been clean and well looked after. We have never been disapointed. The club restaraunt could do with a change of menu though, been the same for as long as I can remember, but the food is still good for the price. We love it their as we can take the dog on the East Sands, it's like a second home to her. I would recomend anyone to visit St Andrews. The town is always clean, the people always friendly. Roll on Summer of 2012. (4/5)

been with touring caravan for years at St Andrews. I like the faraway touring field as it offers a little more peace and quiet. Not that i mind tents, but what a dissapointment to find my view spoilt with loads of tents virtually outside my front door. I am not saying the people staying there gave any problem apart from the increace noise and volume of traffic in toilets. (3/5)

we have stayed at kinkell a few times and find the site very good, toilets are clean & a bit dated and the showers are a bit dodgy having to keep pressing the knob every few seconds a bit boring, the bar is good with good bar staff&good service, but the restaurant !!!service was very poor&the food was even poorer, very overpriced and overrated to say the least,i will visit kinkell again with my tourer but will definately not be eating in the restaurant;overall view:good site good clubhouse fantastic views, good staff, close to st andrews worth a visit, but dont eat in the restaurant (3/5)

Me and my family have been going to Kinkell brae's caravan park for almost 6 years and I personly think its the best holiday site in Scotland. The view of the beach was amazing, the fact of how close the shops were was great and the shops were brillant as well. When we started taking our dog we had to find routes to walk her, in the caravan park there was an amazing route up to the golf course, from that point you could see the whole of St. Andrews. The bar/fish & chip shop and the news agents was just 2 mins away from most of the caravans and was really handy. Inside the caravan was 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed and 2 with 2 separate beds, one kitchen/dinning room and a living room. The decor was very... old lady's bedroom kind of decor but as we were on holiday we didn't really notice. overall I loved it and would go there every weekend if I could. (5/5)

We hired out 16 caravans for my wedding night, it was a complete shambles, with keys being given to wrong people resulting in 2 caravan's worth of people being put in the same caravan, 5 groups of people were moved around because of mistakes the staff made, keys were handed to strangers and deposits handed back to the wrong people. The manager did not take any responsibility for the mix ups and blamed us for the disorganisation of the weekend. To top it off the staff were completely incompetant and rude. Would NOT recommend. Hi my name is olivia fryer and yes I am posting another blog entry!I cannot wait to go to kinkell braes it is much better than Haven and all those places.Every day is a sunny day.If your looking for a cheap holiday abroad then dont bother St.Andrews is just about perfect. And if your looking for good places for kids then I am 11 and I never got bored once. There is a small club with a swing park-and the sea is beautiful. The sand is like salou sand and the turqoise water is fantastic to look at.All the prices are deginatly reasonable for all caravans and they are spotless at any time.ST ANDREWS IS SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (5/5)

this caravan park is amazing with a leisure centre right beside it its an amazing family treat. With a club on al night and a games room for kids its a non-stop fun holiday. St.Andrews golf course isnt that far away either although it is quite dear to play its fun for all the family. The beach is just down a hill from the caravan park as well as the city centre. There are many attractions like the beach, club, parks, swimming, fun fairs and the sea-life museum. That is why i award the caravan park with 5 stars. (5/5)

the office staff are friendly and really helpfull. this site is a must see, the views are spectacular and it's only a ten min walk into the town centre. Also there is a direct path to the beach which is lovely in the morning. the only thing that was off putting was the shower block but one shower block has been refurbished and the second one is being done when the site is closed over the winter. I think if they get that done, it will be a 5 star from me. (4/5)

Kinkell Braes is brilliant! Friendly staff and good park outside the bar. This was our first time here and we enjoyed it.Although the bar was a little dear! I think this caravan site was brilliant because the town was only a 15 minute walk and the beach and leisure centre was helpful for keeping you occupied when their was no entertainment on during the day. This site is a must see Caravan site. (5/5)

Hi! My name is Olivia and I have been to this Caravan park three times. It is a exellent caravan park and I really enjoy it. I am ten years old and it is vey fun for children because there is a games room by the bar, entertainment, a beach, a swiiming pool and many more fun activities for kids.If you were to go to the caravan park you should go to the town because it is great and there is lots to see and do.There is a small play area outside the bar for kids to play with monkey bars,a bridge, a tracto and lots more. There is also a small corner shop with gift's and small gadgets. There is a Tesco and a Somerfeild for you to buy your shopping,if you like to explore history then just as you walk upto the town there is an old graveyard with castle wreck's.The beach is fantastic. It's not like an ordinary rocky beach it is like a beach you would find in spain with dry soft sand and blue water where I love to swim in.St.Andrews is my favourite Caravan park so if you haven't been, then you should defenetly go! We have stayed in caravan parks all over the UK - Haven etc, but this is our favourite by far. We have only ever satyed in the static caravans - they have all been spotless, with excellent facilities. The view over the cliffs is quite stunning, with a fantastic walk into St Andrews, and if you have a dog, this place is a must - they will love it. The entertainment is adequate, shop pricey but there are supermarkets in St Andrews, in particular, the Tesco is very good. A lovely atmosphere at this park make's it our favourite and we are returning there shortly for our fifth visit !! (5/5)

This is a brilliant site to visit as it is close to the town, beach. I have found the staff to be helpful and club is basic but good value. Can't wait to go back. As others have said, the views are stunning. (5/5)

I have visited this site many times and i think it is superb. The staff are very friendly, views over St Andrews are stunning. Will be up twice in 2009, July & the usual pilgrimage for the RAF Leuchars Airshow in September. I am really looking forward to both. (4/5)

A lovely site at a stunning location, and very handy for St Andrews. Ideal for young families as East Sands Leisure Centre is on the doorstep, as well as the lovely beach. Caravan was spotless but COLD! We went in October, and the only heating is a gas fire in the lounge area, so bedrooms are very cold. Electric panel heater in double bedroom was useless: I had it on all night and you wouldn't have known. Slight annoyance of noise from the bar on Friday and Saturday nights - take earplugs! But at least it stops at 11.30pm. (4/5)

My husband and I spent 2 nights on this site in July and it was far from satisfactory! the Toilets were grubby and sub-standard, the push on showers stay on for a second then went off again. The shower curtains were thick with mould. The litter on the park was a disgrace - dirty cotton bubs, broken crockery and food packaging. The wardan was down right rude when we approached him very late one night when a family had started singing at the tops of their voices. At £18 a night - this was a total rip off! (1/5)

I think the negative reviews are from touring vans as the site is mostly full of static vans. Tents are allowed there now and being a bit of a camper also I think it's quite good, we ate in the club and it is a 15min walk to town. BLISS (4/5)

There are a lot of mixed reviews for this site but you have to go along and see for yourself. The staff are friendly and the lighting and toilets are basic but adequate. The vies over St Andrews are stunning and makes this a must see caravan site! (3/5)
