Never ever rent from this company. Greedy, inconsiderate, poor upkeep. It's all just pathetic. You can even see Mr. Brown trying to boost his ratings below. Quite sleazy. If you want to avoid anything in St Andrews, avoid them. That is, unless you like when strange men home into your house at 630 in the morning unannounced and suddenly drop off 7 mattresses in your living room, which is creepy on several levels. Plus we needed a working gas system which didn't leak CO2.

I'm sorry. But I just found out first-hand why Eve Brown and it's owner Steve Brown have such a bad reputation, never in all my life have I came across such a rude and exploiting individual, he was sincerely only interested in squeezing as much money out of me as possible and never returned my deposit!

I've thankfully never actually rented anywhere with this company, however they did have a property I was really interested in. Had to keep calling and calling them, being told totally contradictory information. Eventually never got the place after being told I would be able to. Total waste of time and effort. In the long run however I looks like I dodged a bullet.

Promised a house they never delivered- staff was rude as well as completely unhelpful... Worst letting experience ever gone through. Definitely avoid unless you are looking for a difficult and non-saitsfactory agreement

LOL - can't believe the owner (Stephen Brown) is writing pretend reviews for his own business - how pathetic! Can't say I'm surprised though, I rented from them not long ago and it was a truly terrible experience from start to finish. AVOID.

Absolutely awful experience with this dire estate agent. Trying to rob students of their money. They still have my deposit which should have been returned in August. Yes, Stephen Brown is Eve Brown's owner! It also says please don't use reviews to promote your own business or to discredit your competition, which I guess is no surprise that he has done! Awful people, could go into more detail but waste of breath!

I've never lived in an Eve Brown flat - but have heard that they can be greedy. However, is Stephen Brown who's commented here, not the owner!?

Definitely the best letting agent I have come across. The staff are friendly and very considerate and nothing seemed too much bother unlike some of the other letting agents in town. Lease documents and inventory all first class written in simple English and explained thoroughly before I signed my lease. At the end a final inventory reconciliation and full deposit speedily returned. What more can I say.

I am a Landlord who used Eve Brown for the factoring of my flat in Fife. As its part of a residence association I had no option but to use the said company. The last 14 years have seen nothing but problems in respect of this company, they never ever carry out their obligations and never ever give them your bank details as I have found out to my cost. The staff are rude and aggressive - they just want you off the phone as quickly as they can, as they already have your money. My advice to other landlords is steer clear of this company and use another letting agent.

If Carlsberg did lazy, greedy and uncaring letting companies - they'd still have a rival in Eve Brown.
When their house viewing policy means hopeful students turn up unannounced on your doorstep - perhaps 11 groups in an afternoon - in the middle of the exam period then you know they just don't give a ****.
I'm a student tenant who'll try his best to never use them again, but as they hold a large percentage of properties in town, I may not have a chance - so if you're a landlord please think if it was your son/daugter would you want their revision time ruined by a lazy agent - you could always take your business to one who cares. Has the same happened to you?
