I once bought a pair of sunglasses from this small retail outlet on Market street. I retyrned some six months later as the frame had broken to be told that I could not have bought these from them as they had never stocked that brand and could not possibly help. Forgetting that rather sad response - some years ago, I plucked up enough courage to enter and view their currently advertised Nike sunglasses offer of 50% off. I was met by an assistant who seemed to be sadly more comfortable to remain behind the comfort of her own counter rather than come out and welcome me. I was shown (then left) to a rather pathetic display of totally unpriced sunglasses through the back of the shop that had an open door to the garden and strange grinding noises coming from an other room. Sadly, another example of appalling customer service we see too often in St Andrews and I simply left. The strange thing is - I was soooo ready to buy - their loss!!!
